Construction and Practice of Intelligent Multi-Channel Examination Reservation Platform

Abstract

Objective To construct an intelligent multi-channel examination reservation platform, optimize the medical treatment process for patients, solve the problems of patient examination reservation running back and forth, long waiting time, and to improve the efficiency of examination reservation. Methods Relying on the hospital’s information integration platform, the examination reservation process was reformed to achieve interconnection and data sharing with various examination business systems. The inspection and reservation resources of medical technology departments were unified and integrated, and the rule knowledge base was used to drive the intelligent algorithm to realize the one-stop reservation of online and offline multi-channel examination. Results The multi-channel examination reservation platform has significantly increased the examination reservation rate. The waiting time for patient examinations was noticeably lower than that before the platform was applied, and it was controlled within 30 min. In particular, the waiting time of MRI examination was reduced from (116.88±18.20) min to (21.65±7.30) min, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The platform fully utilizes the hospital’s examination equipment resources, realizes one-click and precise reservation of multi-channel examination, provides patients with the most reasonable examination schedule time, which can meet the expectations of patients for convenient medical treatment and personalized examination, and improve the operation efficiency and service quality of the hospital.
