Research and Practice of Quality Control Scheme of Dilon 6800 Pixelated Gamma Camera

Abstract:Objective To conduct extrinsic uniformity tests of Dilon 6800 pixelated gamma camera, analyze the data, and summarize
the quality control procedure to ensure proper operation of the device and improve image quality. Methods According to the user
manual, the standard of the National Electrical Manufacturers Association, American Association of Physicists in Medicine report,
Society of Nuclear Medicine guideline, and the manufacturer's recommendations, the extrinsic uniformity of the pixelated gamma
camera Dilon 6800 were tested from 2016 to 2021. It was corrected when the integration uniformity for the useful field of view
was greater than or equal to 9.50%. According to the monthly average humidity of the examination room, it was divided into high
and low humidity groups. The mean differences of integration uniformity and differential uniformity for the useful field of view
between the two groups was compared. Results The final value of integration uniformity for the useful field of view each month
from 2016 to 2021 was below 10.00%, which was within the acceptable range. The uniformity after correction was significantly
better than before correction. The original values of integration uniformity and differential uniformity for useful field of view in the
high humidity group were significantly higher than those in the low humidity group. Conclusion The uniformity control procedure
of the Dilon 6800 pixelated gamma camera is summarized, and the extrinsic uniformity test is performed to evaluate the performance
according to the integration uniformity for the useful field of view, which is more effective than differential uniformity. This indicates
that calibration can restore and maintain the equipment's uniformity index. Additionally, humidity is related to the performance of
equipment uniformity, so attention should be paid to the impact of high humidity on the equipment.
