Abstract:Nanosecond pulsed electric field (nsPEF), as a novel physical means for solid tumor ablation, has received widespread
attention in liver cancer treatment. Currently, it’s at the clinical research stage. Extensive studies have shown that nsPEF can not
only induces apoptosis of liver cancer cells and ablate liver tumors, but also stimulates the innate and adaptive immune response, and
inhibits the recurrence and metastasis of liver tumors. This article reviews the research progress of nsPEF in liver tumor ablation, and
provides an outlook on the issues that still need to be addressed and explored. The aim is to further promote the application of nsPEF
in liver tumor ablation.
