Abstract:Nanosecond pulsed electric fields (nsPEF) is an emerging technology with short pulse width and high energy density.
Previously, high voltage pulsed electric field has been successfully applied in the industry of food disinfection and preservation,
sewage treatment, biological breeding and electrotherapy of malignant tumors which has great development value and application
prospect. At present, the ability of nsPEF as a treatment modality for malignant tumors has been extensively studied, the application
of nsPEF in the management of musculoskeletal motor system remains in need of further investigation. In this paper, we aim to
summarize the existing research concerning the application of nsPEF in treating bone fractures, tendon/ligament disorders, and
muscle injuries, and provide a perspective for future studies.
