Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of chest CT combined with high frequency ultrasound in the diagnosis of chest
wall tuberculosis. Methods A total of 138 cases of chest wall tuberculosis in our hospital from June 2013 to November 2015 were
selected as the research objects. The chest CT and high frequency ultrasound were performed in these patients. The results and the
rate of compliance were compared between the three methods. Single diagnosis and combined diagnosis were analyzed by ROC.
Results The pathological coincidence rate of chest CT diagnosis (81.16%) was higher than that detected by the high frequency
ultrasound (75.36%) without significant difference (P>0.05). The diagnostic accuracy of the combination diagnosis was 90.56%,
which was higher than the single diagnosis (P<0.05). The ROC value of high frequency ultrasound, chest CT and combined diagnosis
were 0.89, 0.81 and 0.95, respectively. The AUC value of the combined diagnosis was higher than that of the single test, and the
difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The coincidence rate of chest CT in combination with high frequency
ultrasound was higher than that of single diagnosis. Therefore, the combined diagnose methods of chest CT and high frequency
ultrasound plays an important role in the clinical treatment of chest wall tuberculosis.
