Abstract:Objective To explore the effectiveness of application of the high-frequency ultrasonography
and its features in diagnosis of STRS (Stenosing Tenovaginitis of Radial styloid). Methods STRS was
diagnosed by using B-mode and color Doppler ultrasonography. Results Among 25 cases of patients,
there were 5 bilateral cases, 11 left cases and 9 right cases with unequal thickening degree of the tendon
sheath (thecal hydrops in 4 cases, thickening of the tendon in 3 cases, and tendon sheath calcified in
2 cases). Tendon was limited in tendon sheath for sliding. Thickening of the tendon sheath and blood
signals of tendon were all increased. Conclusion The high-frequency ultrasonography proved itself as
a high-resolution and easy-to-operate imaging method in diagnosis of STRS, which was worth of wider
clinical application.
