Abstract:Objective To explore the effectiveness of application of high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound in diagnosis of soft tissue injury (STI) of muscles. Methods High-frequency color Doppler ultrasound scanning was performed in 315 patients with STI of muscles so as to calculate the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of ultrasound in diagnosis of muscle contusion, hematoma, rupture and hernia. Results The sensitivity, specificity and accuracy of high-frequency color Doppler ultrasound in diagnosis of muscle contusion, hematoma, rupture and hernia were respectively 91.4%, 87.1%, 89.1%, 84.6% versus 92.1%, 98.2%, 98.5%, 100.0% versus 91.7%, 94.9%, 97.1% and 98.7%. Conclusion High-frequency color Doppler ultrasound proved its excellent sensitivity, specificity and accuracy in diagnosis of muscle contusion, hematoma, rupture and hernia, which could be considered as a first-choice imageology method for examination of STI of muscles.
