Image Processing Technology of CT Angiography

Abstract

This paper introduces the concepts and characteristics of various image processing technologies of CT angiography (CTA) including multiplanar reconstruction (MPR), minimum intensity projection (MinIP), volume rendering (VR), maximum intensity projection (MIP), virtual endoscopy (VE), Surface Shaded Displace (SSD). Then discusses the advantages of CTA by comparing CTA with digital subtraction angiography (DSA).
