Abstract:Objective To build a specialized disease management platform for obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), which integrates
screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up for the chronic disease of OSA, so as to realize the whole process management of OSA
patients. Methods Based on the clinical requirement analysis, the platform was designed based on B/S architecture, the SpringBoot
framework was used to build the system, and MySQL was used to store all information and data of the system. Taking the patient
information from Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine Department and Mental Health Department of a grade Ⅲ-A hospital as the
data source, this platform was used to realize the integration, consolidation, analysis and other management of patient data of OSA
specialties in each department. Results An OSA specialized disease platform containing diagnosis and treatment information of
1238 patients was established, and the main functions of patient information management, screening and follow-up management of
high-risk groups were realized. After treatment and follow-up through the platform, the sleep apnea-hypopnea index of patients was
significantly reduced, the sleep efficiency was significantly improved, and the number of patients who insisted on using ventilators,
participated in follow-up visits on time, and returned to hospital for re-examination on time was significantly increased, and the
differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion By developing a whole process management platform for OSA
patients integrating screening, diagnosis and follow-up, it helps medical staff to screen more high-risk groups early, implement
personalized and precise health management for patients, improve the efficiency of doctors’ treatment, and enhance the health
protection and service capacity of hospitals.
