Objective To design a non-wearable intelligent pillow for detecting and alleviating obstructive sleep apnea.
Methods Respiratory signals of patients were collected by biological radar in real time, which were converted by MCU A/D and
sent to APP on mobile phone by Bluetooth module for data processing. When the system detected that the patient has apnea, it sent an
inflating command to the palliative device through Bluetooth. A relief device alleviated apnea by adjusting the height and incline of
the pillow to change the position of the patient’s head. Results The system could detect and alleviated apnea with fast response speed
and accuracy up to 90 %. Conclusion The device can monitor the information of patients with sleep disordered breathing and relieve
apnea in time. It has great development potential in the field of health management equipment and clinical auxiliary diagnosis.
