Abstract:Objective To design a radiotherapy process management system so as to improve the efficiency and quality of radiotherapy
based on many practical problems in the existing radiotherapy process, such as unsmooth communication of information,
unclear division of tasks and patients rushing back and forth. Methods The system adopted B/S architecture, the server used the
Python3.7 and Django2.2.7 tool to complete the development and release of the modules including radiotherapy appointment,
radiotherapy equipment quality, radiotherapy plan verification, etc. Combined the existing Aria system of the department, the
design of radiotherapy process and date report modules were completed. The database of system adopted MySQL tool, and the
client used browser for human-computer interaction. The comparison of appointment waiting time, planned completion time and
radiotherapy queuing time before and after application of the system were statistically analyzed. Results After the application of the
system, the appointment waiting time, planned completion time, and radiotherapy queuing time were (5.50±1.05) d, (2.70±0.82) d,
(15.16±3.39) min, respectively, which were significantly lower than those before the application of the system (10.67±2.16) d,
(5.50±1.03) d, (41.80±12.72) min, and the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The development of the
system has improved the work efficiency of radiotherapy and greatly reduced the work burden of radiotherapy medical staff. The
standardization of radiotherapy process has normalized radiotherapy data, and the retrospective analysis of data can promote the
innovation of clinical and departmental scientific research work.
