Abstract:Objective Aiming at the problem of unqualified flow velocity accuracy of a brand infusion pump in clinical use, to analyze
the causes of its failure and solves the problems in clinical use in this paper. Methods By detecting the flow velocity accuracy of 5
faulty infusion pumps, it was judged that the cause of the fault was the mismatch of the infusion pipeline. Two brands of infusion pumps:
FRESENIUS KABI VS 10 and B.BRAUN Intrafix Primeline, were selected and combined with 30 infusion pumps to detect the accuracy
of flow rate. The flow rate of the infusion pump exceeding the allowable error range was calibrated. Results 5 of the 30 infusion pumps
exceeded the allowable error range of ±5%, and the pass rate of flow velocity accuracy was 93.33%. Conclusion In clinical use, the
same brand infusion pipeline matching the infusion pump should be selected first, and then the recommended matching compatible other
brand infusion pipeline should be selected, and the new pump should be tested before and during use.
