Abstract:Objective To maintain the faulty VELA ventilator based on maintenance cost control, to provide maintenance ideas for
clinical engineers. Methods By referring to the operation manual, maintenance manual and relevant literature of VELA ventilator, the
failure of the failed ventilator has been judged and analyzed, and the available accessories were removed from the scrapped ventilator
of the same model to troubleshoot the faulty ventilator. Results The battery of the faulty ventilator and the digital to analog converter
of the main board failed, and the oxygen pressure regulating valve leak. After the battery of the ventilator, the main board added
with a turbine control panel and the alarm loudspeaker with the corresponding control panel were replaced, and the oxygen pressure
regulating valve was adjusted, the failure alarm of the ventilator was cleared. The quality of the repaired ventilator was tested by
FLUKE 900A air flow analyzer, and the results were normal. Conclusion Regular maintenance and quality testing of the ventilator,
the initiative to find and solve potential problems, in order to reduce the equipment maintenance cost and provide a strong guarantee
for the smooth development of clinical medical services.
