Abstract:Objective To evaluate the advantages of using automatic detection system to detect the optical performance of rigid
endoscope and analyze the potential factors affecting the function decline of rigid endoscope. Methods A total of 78 rigid endoscope
lenses and 161 guiding beams treated in a grade Ⅲ-A hospital from May to July 2023 were selected as the research objects, and the
visual method and instrument detection methods were used to detect them successively. Directional angle, field angle, illumination,
depth of field, light transmittance, focusing, endoscope internal tightness and purity were included in the instrument detection
indexes. Optical fiber illuminance, light transmittance and color measurement were included in the guiding beam index, and the
results of the two detection methods were compared. Results The qualified rates of visual and instrument detection method were
94.87% and 73.08%, respectively, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The pass rates of guided beams were
98.75% and 96.89%, respectively, with no statistical significance (P>0.05). The instrument test results showed that the dysfunction
of rigid endoscope lenses mainly focused on the light transmittance and illuminance. Conclusion For the endoscopic lens detection,
the instrument detection method is obviously superior to the visual detection method, and for guided beam detection, there was no
significant difference between the two detection methods. The rigid endoscope detection system is helpful for early detection of
structural changes and functional decline inside the rigid endoscope lens, and is a scientific detection tool that helps to reduce the
operational risk of endoscopic invasive diagnosis and treatment and save hospital operating capital.
