Radiotherapy Planning System

Abstract:Objective To design a software which can directly extract 3D point cloud parameters from ONCENTRA Brachytherapy
treatment planning system (TPS) to design minimally invasive implantation guide template. Methods Based on Microsoft Visual
C++ 2017&Qt5 development environment, the OpenCASCADE source library was used for 3D structure design. The Open Graphics
Library (OpenGL) and Open Scene Graph (OSG) 3D rendering engine for 3D scene structure management and display were used.
Modular design was adopted to realize the planning DICOM data extraction, point cloud processing, solid surface reconstruction,
structure generation, model export and other short-range implant guide plate auxiliary design functions. Results The software could
complete all the steps of outputting the model from TPS system data to 3D printer, and realize the “1∶1” restoration of planting
preplan and printing guide plate. Conclusion The software can complete the design of auxiliary guide plate for brachytherapy, which
provides a favorable guarantee for accurate implant radiotherapy.
