Atmospheric Pressure Are Inconsistent with Setting Values of Dosimeter

Abstract:Objective To explore the method for calibrating medical linear accelerator when temperature and atmospheric pressure
of dosimeter calibrating are inconsistent with setting values T0 and P0 of dosimeter in national standard laboratory. Methods Output
dose of the medical linear accelerator was calibrated using two dosimeters (DOSE 1 and PTW-UNIDOSE), respectively. The dose
differences under two measurement methods (direct input field temperature pressure value, post-measurement correction) were
compared when measuring the radiation dose. Results When directly inputting the temperature and pressure of the measurement site,
the measurement results of the two dosimeters were quite different, with the deviation of 1.31%. When the recalibration was used,
the measurement results of the two dosimeters tended to be consistent, with deviation of 0.20%. Conclusion In the measurement
and calibration of the output dose of the medical linear accelerator, the accuracy of the measurement result can be improved by
calculating the temperature and atmospheric pressure correction coefficient, when the temperature and atmospheric pressure of the
dosimeter are inconsistent with the setting values T0 and P0 of the dosimeter.
