Abstract:Objective To investigate the application value of locating and quantitative gastrolavage under
ultrasound monitoring. Methods 205 cases of patients with acute oral drug poisoning were selected
and randomly divided into control group (n=101) and experimental group (n=104). Traditional method
of gastric intubation, including blind gastric tube insertion and electric gastric lavage, was applied to
the patients in the control group; gastric lavage would be conducted after the amount of lavage was
determined. For patients in the experimental group, gastric tube insertion was inserted under ultrasound
monitoring to determine insertion depth and then to locate the position of the tube; quantitative gastric
lavage was carried out based on the monitoring of the intake and output of fluid volume during gastric
lavage. Then the complication rate and effectiveness of gastric lavage in the two groups were compared.
Result The complication rate of the experimental group was lower than the control group (P<0.05). The
effectiveness of gastric lavage in the experimental group was significantly better than the effect of the
traditional gastric lavage in the control group (P<0.05). Conclusion Locating and quantitative gastric
lavage under ultrasound monitoring could effectively reduce the complication rate of gastric lavage and
improve the effectiveness of gastrolavage.
