Discussion on Clinical Skills Training Using Virtual Medical Model Equipment

Abstract:Objective To investigate the role of virtual medical devices on clinical skill training with the focus on clinic, skill and
practice. Methods Targeting various doctors (including clinicians and surgeons in charge), undergraduates and postgraduates, our
program employed a rich set of methods, which included study cases, scenario simulation, reality experiencing, interaction and
seminars, for multi-discipline clinical skill training. Results After the training, all the evaluation indexes (the overall operation
time from (443.0±101.0) s to (217.0±40.0) s, red vision time from (73.0±29.0) s to (23.0±11.5) s, the proportion of completed
bronchial exploration increased from 52.0%±14.9% to 94.6%±4.8% compared with before training, the difference was significant.
Conclusion Clinical skill training not only comprehensively improve learners’ clinical comprehensive diagnosis ability and various
operation skills, but also effectively reduce the occurrence of medical accidents and disputes in clinical practice. Medical virtual
model equipment not only make clinical skill training closer to clinical practice, but also provide rich demonstration cases and
realistic clinical scenes for clinical skill training. At the same time, it uses more scientific and humanized teaching and assessment
methods to provide clinicians with convenient and correct clinical thinking.
