Abstract:Objective To establish a smart hospital navigation system, solve the problem that patients feel difficult to find the
target department, and evaluate and analyze the application effect of the system. Methods Based on the latest indoor positioning
technology, a smart hospital navigation system was designed and implemented to plan the destination path for patients intelligently.
A large amount of data were collected from the hospital information system, and SPSS 25.0 software tools were used to statistically
analyze the average path-finding time of patients under 40 years old in the experimental group and control group in peak and flat
peak periods. Results The average path-finding time of the experimental group and the control group were (199.43±26.18) s
and (513.13±84.96) s, respectively, and the average path-finding time in flat peak period, were (175.21±22.46) s and
(382.75±114.78) s, respectively. Whether it was peak or flat peak periods, the difference of path-finding time between the control
group and the experimental group was statistically significant (P<0.01), and the reduction effect of path-finding time in peak period
was more significant than that in flat peak period. Conclusion The use of the system improves the efficiency of hospital outpatient
service, reduces the average path-finding time for patients to see a doctor, provides patients with a good medical experience, and
further improves the level of digital construction of smart hospitals.
