Abstract:Objective To analyze and compare the accuracy of AccuContour and DeepViewer in automatic contouring of renal structure
in patients with pancreatic cancer. Methods CT images of 20 cases of patients with pancreatic cancer were selected for retrospective
study. By using the software of AccuContour from MANTEIA Medical and DeepViewer from Wisdom-Tech, the renal structures
were automatically delineated in location-based CT images, and the results were compared with those drawn manually. Through the
analysis of volume differences (ΔV%), deviation of centroid (DC) and the dice similarity coefficient (DSC), compared the effects
and differences between the two software in automatic contouring in terms of volume, location and the shape. Results After finishing
automatic contouring of renal structure for pancreatic cancer patients by AccuContour and DeepViewer, the result showed that
ΔV% of the left kidney were 0.13%+4.60% and 0.83%+7.14%, ΔV% of the right kidney were 0.40%+5.24% and 1.49%+5.06%
respectively丨 the DC of left kidney were (0.87±0.95) mm and (0.76±0.90) mm, the DC of right kidney were (0.67±0.72) mm
and (0.90±1.08) mm respectively丨 the DSC of left kidney were 0.930±0.020 and 0.934±0.023, right kidney were 0.934±0.022
and 0.930±0.030 respectively. Paired t-test was performed on the three parameters of the two software, and the results showed no
statistical difference (P>0.05). Conclusion The two software can automatically sketch the renal structure of patients with pancreatic
cancer, and both can achieve satisfactory results. AccuContour software will not differ from the DeepViewer software in terms of
volume differences, location differences and shape similarity.
