Abstract:The incidence rate of malignant tumors has been increasing and has a trend of younger age. Positron emission tomography
(PET) plays an important role in early screening, staging and prevention of malignant tumors. This paper focused on a new type
of PET/CT equipment detector, analyzed the influence of the application of this new type of digital silicon photodiode detector on
the spatial resolution, time resolution and sensitivity of PET imaging by explaining the design structure, principle and performance
parameters of digital silicon photodiode detector. Finally, based on the above content, the great advantages of digital detectors over
traditional photomultiplier tubes and some issues faced by large-scale promotion are discussed.
