Abstract:Objective To investigate the effect of bladder volume on 3D in vivo dose of cervical cancer. Methods 8 cervical cancer
patients were selected randomly, their 3D in vivo doses in every fractional irradiation treatment were got by the electronic portal
imaging device of Elekta synergy linear accelerator and the EDOSE V5.0 system. Furthermore, their bladder volumes in every
fraction were collected by the Verathon Bladder Scanner. The variation trend of bladder volume deviation was analyzed, and
spearman correlation was used to analyze the relationship between it and in vivo dose. Results The deviation of bladder volume in 8
patients was -10%±60% and their vitiation trend was different each other. The spearman relevant of bladder volume with the in vivo
dose of each organ was mostly less than 0.3. Conclusion If cervical cancer patient controlled her bladder volume by herself, it would
be difficult to keep the bladder volume in treatment consistent with the ones in setup CT. There was a weak correlation between the
volume deviation of the bladder and the dose of the patient in vivo.
