Abstract:Objective The mechanical properties, dosimetric characteristics, dose output and mechanical precision control of domestic
medical accelerator XHA600E under volume rotation intensity modulation (VMAT) mode were comprehensively tested to evaluate
the feasibility and reliability of its clinical implementation, and to provide reference for domestic equipment to implement VMAT
technology. Methods Perform a comprehensive evaluation and testing of the performance of the VMAT technology for XHA600E
accelerators based on GB15213-2016, GB 9706.1-2007, GB 9706.5-2008, AAPM TG142 and referring to the related accelerator
quality control standards of imported equipment manufacturers such as Varian. Results The test results showed that XHA600E
mechanical properties, dosimetry test and MLC test during the rotation of the gantry had reached quality control standards.
Conclusion The domestic medical accelerator XHA600E has preliminary technical conditions for implementing VMAT in terms of
dosimetric characteristics and related mechanical properties, which lays a foundation for the clinical application of VMAT technology
in the next step.
