Abstract:Objective To study how to use Varian Halcyon linear accelerator for standardized treatment of postoperative patients with
cervical cancer. Methods A total of 28 cases of cervical cancer patients with postoperative radiotherapy were randomly selected.CT simulation, target area and organs at risk were delineated according to protocols. Three or four full arc volumetric intensity
modulated plans were designed. The results of dose distribution, intensity modulated verification, setup error and penetration dose
were analyzed. Results The treatment plan of 28 postoperative patients with cervical cancer met the clinical treatment standard. The
average values of target conformal index, dose gradient index and homogeneous index were 0.992, 3.911 and 1.064, respectively.
The average passing rate of double check of 3D γ was 99.386%. The average value of 3D γ passing rate of Portal Dosimetry
dose 2%/2 mm was 97.120%. The average passing rates of the Arccheck surface dose of 2%/2 mm and 3%/3 mm were 95.560% and
99.180%, respectively. Point dose mean deviation was -0.117%. The average value for consistency of composite field penetrating
fluence was 97.308%. Conclusion Halcyon v1.0 new “o-ring” accelerator can achieve better dose distribution and faster execution
efficiency in cervical cancer radiotherapy after surgery. Electronic portal imaging device based inter-fraction dose detection can
effectively detect the changes of body weight and internal organs during treatment.
