Clinical Value of Full Digital Mammography Combined with MRI in
Diagnosis of Breast Mass Lesions

Abstract:Objective To explore the clinical value of full field digital mammography (FFDM) combined with magnetic resonance
imaging (MRI) in the diagnosis of breast mass lesions. Methods Clinical data of 70 patients diagnosed with breast mass who came
to the hospital from May 2018 to August 2019 for treatment were collected and analyze. All patients underwent FFDM and MRI
imaging examinations, and preoperative biopsies were performed on breast masses for pathological examination. Pathological
histology is used to determine the benign and malignant breast masses. The pathological result is the “gold standard”. This is the
accuracy of the full digital mammography, MRI examination and the combination of 2 methods in the diagnosis of breast mass
lesions Evaluate. Results The diagnostic sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of FFDM for the nature of breast mass lesions are
78.38%, 67.86%, and 73.85%, respectively丨 the sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of MRI examinations for lesions are 86.49%,
82.14%, and 84.62%丨 The sensitivity, specificity, and accuracy of the two types of imaging combined examinations for the lesions
were 91.89%, 96.43%, and 93.85%. The diagnostic sensitivity and accuracy of the two combined imaging tests were higher than
those of the single FFDM and MRI tests (P<0.05). Conclusion The full digital mammography combined with MRI examination
is significantly more accurate in diagnosing breast occupying lesions than the single imaging method. It can provide more reliable
image data and evidence for clinical location and qualitative aspects. It can effectively meet the clinical needs of making a clear
diagnosis and formulating a detailed treatment plan for patients with breast mass lesions. It can be regarded as a routine imaging
examination method for breast diseases, and has important clinical application value.
