Abstract:Objective To develop an information management system of surgical instruments and explore its application value in the precision management of surgical instruments in sports medicine specialty characterized by endoscopy. Methods According
to the requirements of efficient and safe operation of the operating room, this study aimed to explore the effective methods for precise management of the configuration, use, storage, maintenance and repair of sports medical surgical instruments, develop the
information system of sports medical surgical instruments for precise management, and verified the application value of the system. Results The development and application of the information management system of surgical instruments in sports medicine could
improve the rationality of relevant asset allocation from 84.4% to 93.5% (P<0.001), reduce the incidence of equipment accidents from 0.33% to 0.12% (P=0.007), reduce the incidence of iatrogenic device failure from 3.74% to 1.3% (P<0.001), improve the efficiency
of equipment use from 25.4% to 49% (P<0.001), and improve the satisfaction of instrument maintenance from 77.2% to 95.8% (P<0.001). Conclusion The development and application of the system is helpful for the fine management of surgical instruments,
improving the efficiency of instruments and personnel satisfaction.
