Abstract:Objective To explore the best metabolic time before collection of quantitative parameters by 18F-FDG PET/CT multi-phase imaging in 35 patients with brain metastases from lung cancer. Methods From August to November 2019, 35 patients with clinically suspected intracranial metastases of lung adenocarcinoma (confirmed by pathology) who needed 18F-FDG PET CT imaging were collected. All patients underwent conventional PET/CT whole-body imaging and head multi phase imaging at 2, 4 and 6 h. The trend of semi quantitative parameters SUVmax, MTV40% and T/NT were analyzed and compared statistically. Results The SUVmax values of the four phases were 7.15±0.74, 8.51±0.56, 10.37±1.01, 9.17±1.01, the MTV 40% values were 5.92±5.02, 6.50±5.36, 5.30±4.42, and 4.52±4.10 cm3, the T/NT values were 0.84±0.15, 1.07±0.20, 1.61±0.23, 1.97±0.50, and each time The difference between the phase measurements was statistically significant (all P<0.001). Moreover, SUVmax and MTV40% both showed a trend of first rise and then fall with the increase of cycle time, and the peak in?ection points appeared at 4 h and 2 h, respectively, while the T/NT value was maintained rising trend. Conclusion In the 18F-FDG PET/CT imaging of patients with brain metastasis of lung cancer, delayed acquisition can solve the problem that the contrast of conventional imaging images cannot meet the diagnostic needs due to the excessive physiological metabolism of normal brain tissue. And when doing quantitative diagnosis and evaluation of therapeutic effect, the SUVmax value calculated by 2 h delayed imaging and the MTV value calculated by 4 h delayed imaging are more representative.
