Abstract:Objective To explore the optimal tube current parameters for the 4D tracking of the tibia using 80 kV ultra-low tube
voltage. Methods Total of 72 patients with clinically diagnosed patellofemoral joint disorders were selected and randomly divided
into three groups: A group, B group, and C group. Automatic tube current modulation technology, manual 100 mA and 80 mA were
used for tube current, and the tube voltage was 80 kV. Volume helical shuttle (VHS) scanning mode was used, and reconstructed with
standard algorithm. The images were evaluated objectively and comprehensively, and the image quality score and radiation dose of
each group were compared and analyzed. Results The radiation dose of C group was the lowest, which was 60.01% and 32.78%
statistically significant lower than that of A group and B group, respectively. The image quality score of A group was the highest,
while the score of B group and C group decreased in turn, but there was no statistical significance. Conclusion ATCM technology
will fail due to various factors in low dose imaging of 80 kV, whilie 80 mA is the recommended optimal tube current.
