Design and Application of a Novel Electric Drill Cleaning Brush

Objective To design a novel electric drill cleaning brush to improve the cleaning efficiency of tube instruments. Methods The
new cleaning brush was connected to the electric hand drill to realize manual and automatic cleaning. The brush rod was full of water
outlet holes and one end was equipped with water inlet holes. When used manually, it could be connected with the flowing water
to wash. The brush rod could be fixed on the electric drill chuck and automatically swiped the inner wall of the tube cavity at high
speed. Through clinical application, the cleaning time and cleaning effect were compared between conventional brush and the new
cleaning brush. Results A new electric drill cleaning brush was designed. It was found that the efficiency and quality of the new
brush were significantly higher than that of the conventional brush (P<0.05). Conclusion The new cleaning brush can achieve the
expected design effect and can be widely used in clinical work.
