Abstract:Objective To explore the maintenance methods and provide reference for the maintenance of linac by analyzing the
motion system principle and related faults of Elekta Precise linear accelerator. Methods The principle of Elekta Precise accelerator
motion system was deeply analyzed. Four specific faults of i70 Gantry interlocking error reported by the instrument at specific angles
and reverse motion accompanied by jitter, the rack cannot rotate without interlocking error, and the 6 MV energy mode reporting
i517 Sctr Limit interlocking error were summarized, the possible failure reasons were analyzed, and one-by-one troubleshooting was
performed. Results The four cases of failures were quickly and effectively resolved by replacing the potentiometer, analog output
board A08-A, 16-pin wiring, and limit switch SW16. Conclusion Maintenance engineers fully grasp the working principle of the
accelerator, and based on the failure phenomenon, quickly eliminate the failure through theoretical analysis and actual measurement,
which is conducive to effectively ensuring the equipment startup rate and good operating status.
