Abstract:Due to the normal upper thyroid artery is slender, and its origin, running, and branches are more variably, so it is very easy
to damage during surgery and affect the thyroid and parathyroid function. The physiological characteristics of the superior thyroid
artery were summarized in this paper, combined with its imaging (ultrasound, magnetic resonance angiography) to evaluate the
blood flow state in clinical application, and then the clinical significance of thyroid artery imaging was analyzed to summarize the
experience. By analysis of different imaging methods in the study and clinical application of the superior thyroid artery, this paper
can help clinical understanding of the thyroid blood supply artery and the surrounding tissue adjacent to the relationship, which is of
great significance to guide medical, surgical intervention and other treatment.
