Abstract:Objective To improve the distribution efficiency of medical consumables, and propose an intelligent management
system combined with six sigma management measures in the procurement and distribution process of consumables in our hospital.
Methods This paper introduced the theoretical knowledge of six sigma, analyzed the and found the maincause current situation
of our hospital, and drew a fish-bone diagram on the problems existing in the distribution of medical consumables. According to
the main cause of the problem, corresponding counter measures were formulated from the technical level and the business level.
Taking KY company as the research object, analyzed the consumables delivery time before and after the implementation of the
countermeasures. Results The delivery time of common consumables and high-value consumables in our hospital was significantly
reduced. The P value was 0.019 and 0.041, and the order completion rate was reduced from 30.67% to 6.32%. The reduction effect
was obvious. Conclusion The intelligent management system combined with the six sigma management method can be used. It
significantly improves the distribution efficiency of medical consumables.
