Abstract:Objective To discuss the value of ultrasound elastography (UE) combined with breast imaging reporting and data system
(BI-RADS) in distinguishing the small breast cancer and hyperplasia of mammary glands. Methods A total of 100 patients with the
small breast cancer or hyperplasia of mammary glands were selected from June 2016 to June 2018 in our hospital. All patients were
given routine ultrasonography and UE examination. The UE, BI-RADS and the differential value of UE combined with BI-RADS
in small breast cancer and breast hyperplasia were analyzed. Results The UE and BI-RADS scores of patients with small breast
cancer were significantly higher than those of patients with breast hyperplasia (P<0.05). In the sensitivity, specificity, accuracy of
distinguishing the small breast cancer and hyperplasia of mammary glands, the BI-RADS were 86.00%, 84.00% and 85.00%; the UE
were 80.00%, 82.00% and 81.00%; the UE combined BI-RADS were 96.00%, 94.00% and 95.00%. UE combined with BI-RADS
were significantly higher than UE and BI-RADS (P<0.05). Conclusion UE and BI-RADS can be used as the important methods to
distinguish the small breast cancer and hyperplasia of mammary glands, and UE combined with BI-RADS has more effective, which
is worth for further clinical promotion.
