Objective To analyze the development status of medical research related to infrared thermal imaging technology in
China, and provide reference for related medical research in the future. Methods Bibliometric methods were used combined
with NoteExpress, SATI, NetDraw, UCINET software to analyze the included literature. Results A total of 477 medical literatures
related to infrared thermography were included. In general, the number of literature increased year by year. The areas with a
large number of publications were still concentrated in economically developed areas such as Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong.
The published journals were scattered, and the main topics of the journals were Chinese medicine, imaging, rehabilitation and
pain, and the quality of the literature were not high, most of them still prefer clinical application research, and most of them
focus on the application of traditional Chinese medicine, involving a small scope of research. Few researchers published a
number of related literature, and did not form a core researcher group. Conclusion In the future, we should further expand
the diversity of research directions, increase the depth of research, develop relevant basic research, experimental research
and other high-quality research, and bring the medical research related to infrared thermal imaging technology into a new
stage of development.
