Abstract:As a new assistive technique, neuromonitoring technique is applied in surgery. The recurrent laryngeal nerve
and the external branch of the superior laryngeal nerve are the key protection laryngeal nerve in thyroid surgery. The
intraoperative neuromonitoring technology can not only improve the recognition rate of laryngeal nerve, but also reduce
the injury rate of laryngeal nerve. The principle, history and present situation of nerve monitoring technique in thyroid
surgery, monitoring and evaluation of recurrent laryngeal nerve, monitoring and evaluation of external branches of
superior laryngeal nerve were reviewed in this paper, in order to promote the clinical application of nerve monitoring
technology in thyroid surgery
