Abstract:Objective To evaluate clinical efficacy of domestic cattle calcined bone filling material (cattle calcined bone) for
tooth extraction site preservation and bone increment. Methods In this study, 40 patients with tooth extraction of anterior teeth
or premolars from our hospital were selected as research object. This experiment adopted double-blind experimental method.
The patients were randomly divided into experimental group (domestic filling material) and control group (Bio-Oss bone filling
meterial). The patients were treated with tooth extraction and implanted with the corresponding bone materials in the tooth
socket. The height and width of bone resorption of the alveolar ridge were measured by CT immediately after the operation and
6 months after the operation. The clinical effects of two bone materials were evaluated. Results Both materials showed good
results without infection and rejection. CT showed good osteogenic effect in experimental group and control group, with no
significant differences between two grups (P>0.05). Conclusion Domestic cattle calcined bone filling material is useful
for tooth extraction site preservation and bone increment.
