Abstract:Breakdown maintenance (BM) of medical device cannot be avoided. BM decision is a multi-attribute decision. It
needs to consider many factors, and the relationship is complex. This paper applied a decision method based on triangular fuzzy
number and analytic hierarchy process (AHP) to BM decision of medical device. This method made complex decision clear and
workable, while avoiding blindness and subjectivity. It also avoided the inaccuracy of the expert judgment with precise number in
traditional AHP. The practice proves that this method is ef fective in the field of medical equipment maintenance decision.
