Abstract:Objective To evaluate the value of O-MAR reconstruction technique in reducing artifacts of intravenous high
concentration contrast medium hardening wiring harness. Methods Twenty-four patients with suspected upper extremity artery
and subclavian artery lesions were divided into two groups: conventional FBP (group A) and O-MAR (group B) according to
different reconstruction methods after CTA scanning. Thin-layer data were transmitted to the workstation to measure the artifact
length and SD value of adjacent tissues at the same position where the most significant artifacts were located in the two groups,
and subjective scores were made for the two groups of images. Results The artifact length of group B was (16.2±2.4) mm, group
A was (36.7±6.8) mm. The SD value of group B was (12.16±5.05), group A was (17.23±6.17). The average subjective score of
group B was 2.25, group A was 1.35. The image quality of group B was significantly better than that of group A. Conclusion O-MAR
reconstruction technique can significantly reduce the artifacts produced by residual contrast media.
