Abstract:Objective In order to realize the digital real-time acquisition and the automatic post-processing of the operation
parameters of infusion pumps, a set of analog infusion system was developed to assist the nurses to manage multiple infusion
pumps conveniently and gain the more accurate cumulative infusion volume at any time. Methods For the infusion pumps with
the information output interface module, the data acquisition unit was used to automatically collect the infusion parameters. For
the infusion pumps without the information output interface module, the semi-automatic collection of the infusion parameters was
realized by artificial assistance.Thus, the system could calculate the cumulative infusion volume of any time. Results Based on the
status of the hardware configuration of the infusion pumps in medical institutions at all levels, a set of analog infusion system which
could be compatible with various types and various configurations of infusion pumps had been developed successfully. Conclusion
Having high flexibility and compatibility, the system can realize the data acquisition of any type of infusion pumps without obstacle.
And it can be easily integrated into intensive care management system or infusion management system, providing an intelligent and
reliable auxiliary means for the patient’s liquid management decision.
