Objective To analyze the common artifacts in PET/CT examination and explore the corresponding quality control
measures to reduce misdiagnosis and improve the diagnostic rate. Methods Ninety-seven whole-body PET/CT images with artifacts
from January 2015 to January 2018 were selected to statistically analyze the common artifacts in PET/CT imaging and explore the
corresponding quality control measures. Results Among the 97 images with artifacts, there were 1 case of device artifact, 24 cases
of motion artifacts, 16 cases of metal foreign body artifacts, 12 cases of truncated artifacts, 11 cases of tracer factor artifacts, 33 cases
of physiological uptake and non-specific artifacts of 18F-FDG. Conclusion It is an important guarantee for obtaining high-quality
PET/CT images to master common artifacts of PET/CT imaging, take effective quality control measures timely, and reduce or avoid
interference factors.
