Abstract:Objective To manage clinical case scientifically, a database of neuroendocrine tumor in Chinese population is established.
Methods A neuroendocrine tumor patient’s management system based on the three-layer C/S structure was designed and developed,
Visual Basic.NET was used as the front-end development language, SQL Sever 2012 as the background database. Results The case
management system could store all information which generated during the diagnosis and treatment of neuroendocrine tumor patients,
which including basic information of patients, pathological information, imaging information, diagnostic information, surgical
information, follow-up information, etc. In addition, the system could provide rich operations, such as information input, modification,
query, statistics, import/export, reminder and other functions. Conclusion The system is fully functional and easy to operate, it can
not only record the neuroendocrine tumor patient’s whole diagnosis and treatment information, but also help medical staff to carry out
personalized follow-up, and provide a treasure trove of wisdom for diagnosis and treatment of neuroendocrine tumors in China.
