Abstract:It is well known that nickel-chromium alloy is a commonly used denture material. It is used to make denture to repair the
defect and missing of the patient’s teeth. Nickel-chromium alloy is widely used in the manufacture of denture due to its excellent
physical and chemical properties, good processing performance and low price. However, the precipitation of nickel can lead to nickel
allergy, cytotoxicity and systemic toxicity. The application of nickel-chromium alloy in denture was summarized and the risk and
control measures of nickel precipitation were analyzed in this paper. It is hoped that this study can be used by manufacturers and
users to improve the safety of such products.
