Directional Local Intuitionistic Fuzzy Entropy

Abstract:The removal of high frequency noise is an important research field in image noise suppression. In this paper, an
image high-frequency noise removal method based on the local intuitionistic fuzzy entropy (LIFE) was proposed. Based on the
directionality of the coefficients’ distribution on non-subsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) decomposition layers, an improved
LIFE method had been put forward to remove the noise in high-frequency layers. Experiments showed that our method could
improve the denoising effect of the high-frequency layers, and protect the textures of the image as well.
