Application of 3D Printing Technology in Medical Field

Abstract:Three-dimensional (3D) printing technology is the process of creating physical objects from a three-dimensional model
using continuous materials through layering. The application of 3D printing in medicine can provide many benefits, including
the customization and personalization of medical products, drugs, and equipment; cost-effectiveness; and increased productivity.
3D printing has become a useful and potentially transformative tool in medicine. So, the application of 3D printing technology in
prosthesis and implant, tissue and organ, anatomical model, pharmaceutical research and medical equipment were reviewed in this
paper. Then the advantages of 3D printing technology were summarized. It is believed that 3D printing technology will promote the
rapid development of personalized medicine.
