Abstract:Objective To study the feasibility of CT TestBolus in achieving of peak-time interval of CT contrast medium between
pulmonary artery and vein as an objective indicator for chronic heart failure. Methods We retrospectively collected 60 patients, who
need to clndergo CT scan with contrast medium. They were divided into two groups (control group with normal heart and test group
with chronic heart failure). CT TestBolus was applied to both groups. Then the acquired attenuation time curve was analyzed by
DynEva and the peak-time interval of contrast medium between pulmonary artery and vein (ΔTp) were calculated. The relationship
between left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of B ultrasonic and ΔTp was evaluated by using paired t tests. Results The ΔTp
and LVEF in the test group were significantly changed, and there were significant differences between the control group and the
test group. Conclusion ΔTp acquired by CT TestBolus is of great value in evaluation of chronic heart failure, which can be used in
assessing of severity for chronic cardiac failure.
