Abstract:The clinical examination standard of visual electrophysiology already exists. The electroretinogram (ERG) has a more
extensive application among them. In order to alleviate the harm caused by the traditional ERG acquisition method and overcome
some shortcomings of traditional method. This paper designed and implemented an ERG detection system based on skin electrodes.
The designed system includes a retinal stimulator, analog filter, analog amplifier, 24 bits analog-to-digital conversion module and
digital signal processing module. Ten volunteers were selected to receive the detection of the retina. Finally, the obtained ERG and
standard traditional ERG were compared. The experimental results showed that the ERG signal collected by the skin electrodes
contained similar characteristic information of the traditional ERG signal.
