Abstract:Objective The image of intrinsic optical signals (IOSs) was preprocessed to eliminate
the image position offset caused by the blink of the test eye and to reduce background noise caused
by image gray level uneven. Methods We have adopted the normalized correlation coefficient
of registration for image registration. Then, the gray linear transformation was used to obtain
image gray scale correction. Finally we extracted IOSs of the macular area in retinal. Results
Experimental results indicated that it could effectively improve the relative intensity of IOSs, trough
amplitude was twice as high as the relative treatment (5% to 12%; 12% to 26%); in addition, we
could observe more changes in signal details by improve the endogenous optical signal curve.
Conclusion The results we get are similar to the results of existing literature. Thus, the method
is effective and reliable, which lay a foundation for exploring signal physiology significance.
