Abstract：Objective To explore the effectiveness of application of Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasound
(CEUS) in the diagnosis of splenic benign and malignant focal lesions. Methods 47 cases of spleen focal
lesions were scanned by using CEUS. The CEUS images were analyzed and compared with the final
diagnosis. Results The 47 lesions included 29 benign and 18 malignant. The sensitivity, specificity and
accuracy of CEUS were 96.5%, 100% and 96.5% respectively; the sensitivity, specificity and accuracy
of conventional ultrasound were 79.3%, 72.2% and 76.6%. The contrast under the fast wash out mode
showed statistically significant difference in splenic benign and malignant lesions (P<0.05). Conclusion
CEUS can provide important value in the identification of benign and malignant spleen focal lesions.
