Development of a Software for Absolute Dose Calibration Based on IAEA 398

The results of the ADC was used to calibrate absolute dose of the truebeam accelerator for different energy rays, if choosing different phantoms and ionization chambers, ADC should be able to calculate user correction factors for different energy rays. It can be applied to calibrate absolute dose on the accelerator and is worthy of clinical promotion.
Abstract:This research developed the software Absolute Dose Calibration (ADC) based on the report of IAEA 398 with the application of The Python program.ADC is composed of calculation of the photon correction factor, calculation of the electron correction factor, as well as input data visualization and data output. Based on the report of IAEA 398, the software can quickly calculate the user correction factors, which were used to precisely measure the absorbed dose and to calibrate beam dose. The results of the ADC was used to calibrate absolute dose of the truebeam accelerator for different energy rays, if choosing different phantoms and ionization chambers, ADC should be able to calculate user correction factors for different energy rays. It can be applied to calibrate absolute dose on the accelerator and is worthy of clinical promotion.
