Abstract:Objective To develop a low consumption and high efficiency suture management system and verify its effect, so as
to provide reference for the information management of high-value consumables in the operating room. Methods The current
suture consumables management process was sorted out and the optimization scheme was put forward. The suture management
system in operating room was designed with B/S structure and C/S structure and applied in clinic. Daily suture preparation time
and defect rate, daily suture inventory time and abnormal rate, and staff satisfaction of manual management (control group) and
information management (experimental group) were compared. Results In terms of efficiency, the daily suture preparation and
inventory time in the experimental group was shorter than that in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant
(P<0.05). In terms of quality, the daily suture preparation defect rate and daily suture inventory abnormal rate in the experimental
group were lower than those in the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). The satisfaction of the
experimental group was significantly higher than that of the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05).
Conclusion The suture information management system developed in this study can improve the quality and efficiency of
suture consumables management, increase staff satisfaction, and meet the national and hospital management standards for suture
consumables, which is worthy of promotion.
